Each pair of earrings is an individual work of art and will have slight variations due to the nature of such a handmade item. We also make a 20mm size, these are the larger of the two.

The hearts are hammered with a ball peen hammer from the back to create a slight doming effect, as can be noted in the detail images. This is done both for aesthetics as well as durability and strength. The metal is solid raw copper or silver, and each piece is oxidized and polished out to a rustic satin patina. The tools used to work the patterns into the metal are antique and unique. You won't find another piece anywhere else like this.
